- La nourriture: what you usually eat; your opinion of fast food; something you are going to eat this weekend
80–90 words (Foundation Question 3 and Higher Question 1)
- Ton collège: what your school is like; your favourite subject and why; something you did at school last week; what you are going to do after school this week
- La technologie: how you use your phone; your opinion of social media; something you saw online recently; how you are going to use technology in the future
- Les fêtes: how you celebrate your birthday; your opinion of parties; a celebration you had last year; your plans for your next birthday
- L'environnement: what you do to protect the environment; your opinion of recycling; something you did recently to help the planet; what you are going to do in the future
- Ton quartier: what your neighbourhood is like; what you like about your neighbourhood; something you did in your area last weekend; how your area is going to change in the future
130–150 words (Higher, Question 2)
- Ta famille et tes amis: what your family is like; why you like spending time with a special person; something you did with your friends recently; what you are going to do at home next week
- Les vacances: where you prefer to go on holiday and why; a memorable holiday you had; the pros and cons of travelling with family; your plans for your next holiday
